The (R)evolution

SLIM TLC® has been around since 2011. Our mission has always been to provide you with all the tools and principles necessary to achieve long-term success through livable lifestyle changes – and, if medicine is used, to help you make the same changes that would allow you to wean off as soon as possible, achieve maximal health, and experience the fewest side effects. However, for those medicines that are FDA-approved for long-term use, there is no rush. We help you do so at the speed that meets your needs.

It's All about the Tools (and Strategies)

We don't sell any food or supplements. Yes, at SLIM TLC®, we have our own nutrition guidelines (The Nutrition Star) that, other than 1000 IU of vitamin D daily, fulfill all of your nutritional needs without special supplements or shakes. Our strategies to help you follow our program has also evolved significantly over time, culminating in what we now call "Free Food?  Whatever!" eating strategy. Our revolutionary goal-setting system, The SLIM TLC® Map, has also evolved in impressive ways. Together, with many other invaluable resources, this will be the last program you will ever have to digest.

SLIM TLC® Program Details

Until our medical-grade version is launched, SLIM TLC® currently includes:

  • A 25-minute visit with Marie Barber, BS (our Nutrition and Exercise Coach - to get started on the program, primarily using our powerful SLIM TLC® eating strategy, "Free Food?  Whatever!," and to discuss our tools, including our groundbreaking goal-setting system, the SLIM TLC® Map.  Extra visits with Marie are 35% off her usual prices (instead of $30 for 25 minutes it is $19.50; instead of $60 for 50 minutes it is $39).

 

  • Once- or twice-monthly 35-40-minute SLIM TLC® group visits with Marie, which can be in-person or virtual (via Zoom), for further learning, support, troubleshooting, and accountability.  Four are offered each month (subject to change):  1) Breaking Down Barriers, 2) Creating an Environment of Success, 3) General Troubleshooting, and 4) Slaying Your EOs (Evil Ogres that Engender Obesity at Every Opportunity).  Sign up by visiting our Calendar.

 

  • A private SLIM TLC® Facebook Group, "Fit Together", which provides critical online interaction with, and support from, other SLIM TLC® members

 

  • At-cost (really inexpensive!) labs.  We require initial labs (fasting lipid panel, comprehensive metabolic panel, complete blood count, thyroid stimulating hormone, and hemoglobin A1c + testosterone if over 40) and, rarely more frequently than every three months, follow-up labs (fasting lipid panel, comprehensive metabolic panel, and hemoglobin A1c), depending on results of the initial labs.  Labs can be drawn at our office or at a CPL (Clinical Pathology Laboratories) or LabCorp location.  If you intend to have your labs done when you come in for your initial visit (which is encouraged unless you're a hard "stick," in which case we'd send you to CPL or LabCorp), please come fasting (no calories for 8+hours, but drink water).
